Nutritional Counseling

PuppyKittenNutrition

Pets need various nutritional requirements depending on their age, breed and health status. For example senior pets have significantly different requirements that young puppies or kittens. As well animals with kidney disease have different nutritional requirements than the average active adult patient. Your pet will likely go through many diet changes throughout its lifetime. Decisions regarding changes in your pet’s nutrition should not be made without first consulting a veterinarian. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding your pet’s diet.

One of the most common problems seen among our well-loved pets is obesity. We have very effective weight loss diets and programs for your pet that we would be happy to discuss with you. Call us to schedule an appointment to discuss your pet’s nutritional needs.

Our feathered, scaled, and more “exotic” furry patients also have special dietary requirements and we would be happy to set up a consultation so that we can discuss them with you. We also carry a variety of diets and supplements to meet their needs.

One thing that remains constant between pets (young or old, exotic or not) is the fact that good quality foods throughout his or her lifetime will add years of health and comfort to your pet’s life. We promote a variety of veterinary exclusive diets to ensure the nutritional health and well being of your pet. We also strive to be up to date on current findings in nutritional research so we are able to give you good advice on what foods are needed.
